Assitant Educator - Design & Technology

At Inventure Academy, we believe that true learning happens when students create, explore, and solve problems with their hands and minds. The Design & Technology (D&T) Lab is a dynamic space where learners from Grades 6–12 bring ideas to life through design, engineering, and innovation. The lab promotes creativity, critical thinking, and craftsmanship—preparing students to take on real-world challenges with curiosity and confidence.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in D&T lab operations or hands-on environments such as manufacturing units, workshops, or makerspaces.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Design, Education, or related fields (equivalent practical experience may also be considered).
  • Hands-on competence with tools and machinery (e.g., saws, lathes, hand tools, basic power tools); familiarity with 3D printing, laser cutting, or microcontrollers is an advantage.
  • Strong safety mindset and experience managing hazard zones; first-aid or safety certification preferred.
  • Excellent communication and classroom support skills to work effectively with educators and students.
  • Organised, proactive, and detail-oriented; comfortable managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Spoken Kannada proficiency is an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support during D&T sessions across Grades 6–12, assisting students in designing and building prototypes.
  • Guide learners in safe handling and usage of tools and materials, ensuring adherence to all lab safety protocols.
  • Maintain lab equipment, tools, and consumables through regular checks, calibration, and timely repair or replacement.
  • Support independent student projects through materials planning, troubleshooting, and testing.
  • Collaborate with educators to align project support with lesson goals and learning outcomes.
  • Coordinate with administrative and facilities teams for procurement, inventory management, and lab readiness.
  • Document processes, safety logs, and project outcomes for continuous improvement.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and creative environment where every student can experiment, build, and learn through making.

Well-Being Counsellor

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology or Clinical Psychology (mandatory)
  • 3–5 years of experience in counselling, preferably in a school setting
  • Strong understanding of child and adolescent development
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English
  • High emotional intelligence, empathy, and cultural sensitivity
  • Strong planning, documentation, and time-management skills
  • Familiarity with ethical standards, confidentiality practices, and counselling protocols
  • Experience using Google Suite for documentation and communication

Key Responsibilities

The role includes counselling support, wellbeing program delivery, and coordination of emotional health initiatives across the school:

Student Support:

  • Provide individual and group counselling to students for emotional, social, behavioural, or academic concerns.
  • Design and facilitate preventive and developmental sessions on life skills, mental health awareness, and self-management.
  • Identify students needing additional support and coordinate timely interventions.

Collaboration:

  • Partner with educators and parents to build strategies that enhance student wellbeing and classroom climate.
  • Participate in case reviews, team discussions, and classroom observations to support student needs.
  • Collaborate with the Wellbeing team to plan and implement wellbeing initiatives across the school.

Crisis and Behavioural Support:

  • Support the management of behavioural concerns using restorative and student-centred approaches.
  • Assist in crisis response, conflict resolution, and emotional first aid when required.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of sessions and interventions.
  • Support data collection, trend identification, and reporting to the Wellbeing Lead.

Professional Growth:

  • Participate in professional development and training sessions related to counselling and wellbeing.
  • Stay updated on best practices in school counselling and child psychology.

Skills Required

  • Active listening and empathy: Ability to connect with students and build trust.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to engage with students, parents, and teachers.
  • Organization: Manage multiple cases and wellbeing initiatives efficiently.

Wider World Manager

Wider World Programs at Inventure aim to make the learning experience hands-on and relevant for the real world. Our students get exposure to the real world through a wide range of opportunities- Internships in High School, Field Trips and Guest lectures, outbound trips, community outreach programs and more. These exposures aim to prepare them to step out into the dynamic landscape of the 21st century with confidence, relevant life skills and with a commitment to bettering society.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in SW and/or Business/Management
  • Work experience of minimum 7-10 years managing educational projects and teams
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Prior experience in organizing physical and online events/programs
  • Previous work with NGOs, Non-Profit organizations, interest in social work
  • Knowing spoken Kannada is an added advantage

Job Summary

Manager, Wider World is responsible for ensuring the delivery of programs at Inventure that help students prepare for life, are in sync with the core purpose and core values at Inventure Academy.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Community Outreach: Planning, implementation and monitoring of grade-wise community outreach programs for children across the school. This includes coordination of all the community outreach initiatives run by the school with identified partners. Inventure has been actively involved in supporting various Government Schools at all times, it is a responsibility of the Manager, Wider World to ensure that there is effective coordination and smooth functioning of these programs. The role also includes assistance in organization of fundraising events, donation drives and short term community outreach programs to help students develop empathy and sensitivity towards the society.
  2. Internships: Every student who graduates from Inventure completes 2 internship projects in the last two years of school. It is the role of the Manager to ensure that the students complete the internships, present their reports and are evaluated based on their presentations. Internships are integral to the life of a senior school student as they help them gain the relevant skills and experience that they need to choose their career path and also put on their college applications. Internship related responsibilities include setting up and managing the internship presentation events, coordinating between possible employers and interns to get the perfect opportunity, and mentoring students to find the right internship.
  3. Field Trips and Guest Lectures: Inventure aims to ensure that all learning experiences are supported by real life exposure. For this, every student must get multiple opportunities to learn from real life experiences by the way of field trips and guest lectures. The role of the Wider World Manager is to manage such partnerships, assess the suitability of the exposure for students, and work closely with the faculty members for planning a smooth execution of exposures.

  • Communication: excellent written & interpersonal communication skills to engage with a large number of stakeholders – parents, educators, and external partners. Ability to write and respond to emails without errors is a must.

  • Data and Information Management- saving and organizing data concerning programs, processes, and best practices for dissemination in relevant spaces. Experience of using Google Suite for work is an added advantage.

  • Bachelor’s Degree, B.Ed / Valid Teaching Certification preferred (CITDL)
  • Experience of 3 – 4 years of full-time teaching experience in the relevant subject areas.
  • Experience in teaching CIE/IB Curriculum will be an advantage.
